Brasserie Nationale wins conditional EU approval for Heintz deal

( July 17, 2025, 16:04 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Luxembourg brewer Brasserie Nationale has won EU approval to buy smaller rival Boissons Heintz, after agreeing to divest “the majority” of Heintz's activities supplying hotels, restaurants and cafés (the horeca sector). The European Commission said the divestiture addressed concerns the deal would have harmed competition by combining the two main wholesale distributors of drinks in Luxembourg, giving Brasserie Nationale a “significant competitive advantage” over rivals and leaving horeca customers with too few alternatives.Statement follows....
